A 'Narrative Momentum Score' (NMS) is calculated weekly, defined as NMS = (0.55 * Media Sentiment Score) + (0.45 * Statistical Benchmark Score). The Media Sentiment Score uses NLP to analyze content from sources like ESPN and The Athletic over a 7-day rolling window. The Statistical Benchmark Score normalizes key stats (e.g., QB Passer Rating, TDs) against the average of the last 10 MVP winners at the same point in their respective seasons.
