Overview

This pillar evaluates the resilience of an esports organization by analyzing the skill level of substitute players and the performance of their academy/Tier 2 roster. It identifies teams capable of sustaining performance during player burnout, visa issues, or sudden meta shifts.

What It Does

It aggregates performance metrics from secondary leagues (Academy/Challengers), Solo Queue rankings of substitute players, and historical organization success in talent development. It generates a 'Resilience Score' that predicts how well a team maintains win probability when starting lineups are altered.

Why It Matters

In long tournament formats or league seasons, roster volatility is common due to illness, burnout, or tactical substitutions. Standard models typically assume the starting five will play every game; this pillar provides a hedge against roster variance.

How It Works

The system monitors official substitute declarations and cross-references them with live Solo Queue APIs (MMR/LP tracking) and Tier 2 league APIs. It compares the substitute's statistical output against the league average for their specific role to calculate a 'Drop-off Delta'—the expected performance loss (or gain) per position.

Methodology

Uses a normalized Elo translation formula to equate Tier 2/Academy statistics (GPM, DPM, KDA) to Tier 1 standards. Calculates a 'Replacement Value' based on the substitute's last 50 competitive maps and current Solo Queue rank percentile. Data is aggregated on a rolling 3-month window to ensure relevance to the current meta.
