This produces a vulnerability score for specific player props.

How It Works

First, the pillar aggregates defensive formation and coverage scheme data from the last four games for a given team. Second, it analyzes opposing TE and slot WR performance against those specific schemes, measuring stats like target rate and yards per route run. Finally, it generates a mismatch score by comparing the defense's vulnerability to the specific strengths of the upcoming opponent's players.

Methodology

Analysis is based on a rolling 4-game window to weigh recent performance. It calculates a Mismatch Score using a weighted average of: DVOA vs. TE/Slot WRs (40%), PFF Coverage Grades for relevant LBs and Safeties (30%), and Yards Per Route Run allowed to the specific position (30%). A team's high usage rate of a vulnerable scheme (e.g., Cover 2 vs. a seam-stretching TE) significantly boosts the score.
