What It Does

The pillar categorizes golfers into distinct archetypes based on their statistical strengths, such as 'Elite Ball Striker', 'Master Putter', or 'Short Game Specialist'. It then analyzes a historical database of head to head results between these different archetypes. This allows it to identify which styles have a statistical advantage over others, especially on specific types of courses.

Why It Matters

It provides a sophisticated edge by uncovering non obvious matchup dynamics that general odds often miss. A player might be an underdog on paper but possess the perfect style to neutralize their opponent's strengths, creating high value trading opportunities.

How It Works

First, players are classified into archetypes using Strokes Gained data from the last 24 months. Second, historical tournament data is scanned to find all head to head pairings between classified players. Third, a win loss matrix is calculated for every archetype versus archetype matchup. Finally, this matrix is used to project the outcome of a future pairing, with adjustments for current form and course fit.

Methodology
