How It Works

First, the system aggregates a player's historical Strokes Gained data from every tournament played. It then maps this performance to the tournament's geographic region, primary turf type, and key weather stats. By comparing a player's performance in these specific conditions to their career baseline, it calculates a differential. This differential becomes the core of the player's Comfort Score for an upcoming event.

Methodology

The pillar calculates a player's Strokes Gained (SG) differential by comparing their SG in specific regions (e.g., Southeast US, Texas, West Coast) to their career SG baseline. The model incorporates historical weather data, specifically weighting performance in average wind speeds over 15 mph and temperatures below 55°F. The final score is a weighted average of regional performance and specific climate condition history over a rolling 36-month window.
